gob-*.tar.gz:	The gob 1.0.x version, for GTK+ 1.2 (though
		it will create objects usable with GTK+ 2)
gob2-*.tar.gz:	The gob 2.x version for GObjects.  This will
		only work with GLib 2.0, and it will handle
		most of it's features properly.

You can have both gob and gob2 installed at once.  You can continue
using gob even as you move to GTK+2, but I would advise to move to
gob2 ASAP.  It is not that much of a change.
